Built-In Lintel Shutters

A built-in system works in the same way as any top-mounted roller shutter – it’s just that the system is housed inside the structure of the lintel and the wall cavities instead of being mounted in full view. This means the shutter mechanisms won’t be seen on either side of the opening.

Meanwhile, the shutter will operate as usual, with tracks to guide the curtain and a barrel at the top for the interlocking slats to roll around as it opens and closes. This movement is powered by a motor, which can be electric to automate opening and closing, and will include a manual backup option.

With all these parts hidden from view, the shutter can maintain a secure barrier when closed and clean lines when open, without being obtrusive or unsightly.

We achieve this by fitting the mechanisms within the structure during its construction. Using the internal access panel, we can then fit the curtain, connect the power, and ensure the system is running efficiently once the rest of the construction is completed.

This means that lintel shutters can’t be retrofitted into existing structures, unless they are undergoing structural renovations that would permit their installation.

• Easy operation – Automated shutters with electric motors are easy to open and close without effort, either using a control panel or remote control, with a manual backup available. Conducting regular maintenance and repairs is also simple with secure access through the internal panel.
